Well, scientists have their version of events but let’s see what has the local legend to say about it… An unusual place, a desert is not what one might expect in Zagłębie. Not particularly much to do there, but worth a visit out of curiosity.

It is 10 km long and around 4 km wide. Since the second half of the 20th century, the desert is overgrowing.

There is no parking space, so we just left our car by the road. A nice tre-lined road takes you to the dessert in the middle of nowhere.
